This listing is for the DSP600 Series Battery Plunge Saws and its successors (XPS01Z XPS02ZU) and not the 110v/220v/230v Makita SP6000 series
The hole in the case of your plunge saw is there to allow you to change your blade. The rest of the time 'it’s just a hole and that hole reduces the performance of your dust collection. This stylish cover is a really good alternative to using gaffa tape and is easily removable.
Personalisation
That’s right you can have your up-to 9 characters embossed on your cover. It could be your name, your company’s name or initials. They height will vary with 9 characters being around 10-12mm and fewer letters larger up to around 20mm. In the form, type the words you would like and your preferred font. Not all fonts work, however. So you agree to allow make adjustments based on your suggestion. The result will be super cool and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. There’s a little computer work required for each order and they will printed singly so you may have to wait a couple of extra days.

The reverse side of the cover features the clips that secure the cover to the saw and the Strawbyte logo.
Fitting is simple, locate one edge into hole and press firmly. Note that the fit may appear loose but that doesn’t affect the performance of the cover when you turn on dust collection. It quickly seats itself into the hole and there’s just enough ‘looseness’ to allow you to put a small screwdriver under an edge to pop it off when you need to change the blade.
