The Veritas Wheel Marking Gauge

On a recent work trip to Bournemouth I was able to call-in at Axminster in Basingstoke for a browse. A vertias wheel marking gauge has been on the wish list for quite some time and after trying one in-store I was sold and purchased one straight away.

Levelling up on marking out. The hardwood doorframe I made really highlighted the need for accuracy and just a few goes with this and I'm supper happy. I now need better reading glasses! I chose the mortice and tenon, two wheeled gauge. When not in use, you can take one of the wheels and stow the cutter in the brass ‘fence’ so you kind of get the best of both worlds.
